  Not a good value for the money

  The apartment is in a decent location, approximately a 30-minute walk from the center of Vodice. The beach extends on both sides of the apartment. The surrounding beaches were reasonably crowded during the day, but if you get up early, you can find some shade. Parking is within the courtyard and covered, but it’s quite tricky for maneuvering. Next to the apartment, there’s a restaurant with excellent food and reasonable prices. The only slightly inconvenient thing is the restaurant’s chimney, which is in front of the balcony. Fortunately, the wind didn’t blow the smoke toward our balcony.

  Let me start with the basics. The internet was absolutely horrible. The measured speed was barely 2 Mbps, and it was almost unusable. Fortunately, we had a roaming package. Another issue was the air conditioning. We were greeted by a bucket full of water on the terrace where the AC was draining. We had to empty the bucket every day to prevent overflow. Strangely, no one mentioned this when we entered the apartment. Furthermore, the apartment lacks basic items such as a wine opener, an ashtray, a coffee pot (džezva), wine glasses or kitchen cloth. Additionally, there were no optional items like salt or pepper, so we had to go shopping right after arriving. The kitchen and bathroom were both quite sparsely equipped. The bathroom deserves special attention. While the rest of the apartment was renovated, the bathroom was in rather poor condition and not very clean. It also lacked a shelf for personal items and hooks for towels. The apartment is rented through an agency, which seems to have poor communication with the owner. Before our arrival, we submitted documents for a quicker check-in process. However, upon arriving at the apartment, the owner insisted over the phone that we still go to the agency and submit the documents again. After a brief discussion, she allowed us into the apartment with the remark, ‘If it’s as you say, then they will send the paperwork.’ Overall, not a good value for the money.

  Appartment near the sea, with a wonderful seaview

  Simple but comfortable appartment, with wonderful seaview. Beach nearby. Owner very friendly.
